"Arousal."

April 13th, 2013.

Public Debut at "Submission," 2013.

Acrylic, 36" x 48"
.

$500

I considered "Arousal" to be the flagship piece of my 2013 "Submission" exhibit, and it remains one of my personal favourite paintings to date.  It's HUGE - three feet wide and four feet tall - tying it with 2011's "Agony" as the largest painting I've ever done.

I used a special texturing technique to make the background intentionally "dirty," like a wall that you might find in a boiler room or a filthy basement.  However, no dirt was actually used; it was produced using paint and water.
